QR Translator's QR codes operate seamlessly by embedding a single, unique URL. This URL contains your source (original) text as well as all its translations. One QR code contains up to 15 languages.
The QR code is permanently linked to this URL, eliminating the necessity to regenerate the code whenever you make content updates.

The URL embedded in the QR code will promptly open in the user's browser. If you have a translation in the user's language, it will be displayed automatically, providing a seamless and user-friendly experience.
With the scanner's consent, the device's location data will be securely stored and made accessible as part of the Scan Data.

QR Translator detects the display language of the device* that is used to scan the QR code.

Yes, you have the flexibility to edit each translation as you see fit. You can edit each translation separately, so you can edit the machine-generated translations or replace them entirely with your own. This makes it possible to customise your content to meet the needs of your audience based on the language they speak. You can enhance your content with images, links, and videos.

Yes, you have the option to regenerate machine translations as often as necessary. When you choose to do so, you can retranslate all, some, or none of the other languages. However, please be aware that any manual edits you've applied to the existing translations will be replaced by the new machine-generated translations. By default, editing the content of one language will not affect the existing translations in other languages. This allows you to tailor your content to meet the specific language preferences of your audience.

Retranslating is optional. You only need to retranslate if you have edited the content in one language and want to have the same information in the other translations.

Text to Speech is available in 43 languages. Most languages have both masculine and feminine voice options to choose from. For world languages such as Spanish, English, and etc., you can choose from a variety of accents and dialects. However, not all languages have the same level of voice options, and the availability of specific accents or dialects may vary.

Although you can add translations in other languages by creating custom languages, automatic Text to Speech is only available for default language options. However, you have the freedom to upload your own recordings (MP3) instead.

Yes, you can customise the speed and tone of Text to Speech voices with SSML (Speech Synthesis Markup Language). QR Translator supports SSML files that are in accordance with Microsoft's guide to SSML.

You can upload your own audio files in MP3 format.

Text to Speech will read aloud any text on the page. It cannot read aloud text that is part of an image or video.

There are no additional costs.

The following actions are exclusive to the owner of the project—the user who first created the project:

1. The ability to control member permissions.
2. The ability to control subscriptions and manage related payments.
3. The ability to invite and remove project members*.
4. The ability to rename or remove the project.

*However, members have the autonomy to leave a project by their own account.

The owner can control the following permissions for each team member.

1. Global settings
   • Can create new and delete QR codes.
   • Can publish pending changes to the public QR code.
   • Can edit the Redirect settings of QR codes.
   • Can edit Advanced Settings of QR codes, such as tracking the locations of scans.
2. Visibility Settings
   • Can make QR codes public or private.
3. View Scan Data
   • Can view and download Scan Data
4. Edit languages (translations)
   Users with language editing permissions can do the following:
   • Can create new translations
   • Edit existing translations, including audio settings
   • Can regenerate existing translations
   • Can publish those changes provided "Global Settings" is also turned on.
   The project owner can allocate editing permissions for all or a selection of languages.
5. Edit Glossary
   • Can edit the project's glossary in all languages (regardless of language editing permissions).

There is no limit to the number of project members.

Yes, you can remove project members from projects. Project members can also independently choose to leave the project.

The free trial starts as soon as you create a new QR code. You won't be charged during the free trial. After your free trial ends, a watermark will appear on the translations. To remove the watermark, please start a subscription by registering a payment method (credit card) and clicking the Activate button on the dashboard.

Subscriptions are available on a flexible monthly per QR code basis. By default, subscriptions are set to renew automatically every month. You can turn off automatic renewal for a QR code by disabling the “Automatic Renewal” option on the dashboard.

The ability to control subscriptions and manage related payments is exclusive to the owner of the project. The owner of the project is the user who first created the project. You can check who the owner of a project is in the Project Members dialog. The owner will be marked with a crown before their username.

QR Translator accepts subscription payments in the following currencies:

*It is not possible to change your account's currency when you have active subscriptions (free trials are not counted as active subscriptions). The currency you use for your initial subscription will be the one applied to all your future payments. Your default currency is determined by your location when you first created your account. Prior to making your first payment, you can change your location and currency in your Account Settings.

If you have active subscriptions and wish to change your account's currency, you'll need to first end all your active subscriptions. You can do this by:

• Disabling automatic renewal for all QR codes and letting the subscriptions expire naturally.

QR Translator is a registered trademark of PIJIN Co., Ltd. QR codes generated by our web service may be printed and distributed free of charge for up to 10,000 copies. Should you plan to distribute more than 10,000 copies, we kindly request you to get in touch with us for further details.

Machine translation is free. You can edit the machine translations, so you can choose to replace them with your own translations. You can regenerate machine translations as many times as you need. We do not offer human translations.

Follow these steps to retrieve your username:

1. Go to the QR Translator login page.
2. Click Forgot Password or Username?
3. Under Retrieve Username, enter your email address and click Send.
4. We will send you an email with the username(s) associated with your email address.

If you know your current password, follow these steps to change it:

1. Login to your account.
2. Open My Account.
3. In the New password field, enter your new password. Repeat in the Re-enter new password field.
4. Click Save.

If you do not know your current password, follow these steps to reset it:

1. Go to the QR Translator login page.
2. Click Forgot Password or Username?
3. Under Reset password, enter your username and click Send.
4. We'll send password reset instructions to the email address associated with your username.

Unless you delete a QR code (or an individual translation), it will remain on the server indefinitely. Please note, however, inactive QR codes with expired subscriptions that have been in the system for extended periods of time may be deleted at our discretion.

Yes, however, please be aware that deleted accounts cannot be restored. All QR codes, including QR codes with active subscriptions will be deleted permanently. Cancelled subscriptions due to account deletion are non-refundable.

To delete your account, follow these steps:

1. Login to your account.
2. Open My Account.
3. Click Permanently delete my account. A dialog will appear. To permanently delete your account, type 'yes' and click OK.
